One of the best magical ways to light FLASH PAPER is with a match that you just blew out. A trick that most magician know. Yet,I have an added tip that will make the method sucessful:Get your FLASH PAPER ready for whatever effect. You light a wooden pocket match (the best type for this method) and blow it out and immediatly touch it to the paper and it will light. The heat of the blown out match is enough to light Flash Paper. This method is more magical than just lighting the paper with a burning match or a lighter.
Often, you have to try it a number of times before you can do it right. Most think that you have to be quick in touching the blown out match to the paper for the effect to happen. But it's not the speed it's the method.
Here' a tip that will work almost everytime: just before blowing out the match, give it a slight twist between your thumb and forefinger -- this evenly distributes the glowing ambers inside the match head. Which will aid in lighting the FLASH PAPER. Also, when you touch the paper, come at an angle so that the match head and stem touch the bulk of the paper.
