By working Restuarant Magic, I found that one of the strongest effects is the VanishingDime to Sugar Packet. Don't know why, just is --- trust me. This effect has been the inspiration for CLK:Penny to Dime thru Kard. Here's the effect:
Show a playing card, both sides. Place a penny and dime on top of the card (a la Penny-to-Dime trick). as you press down on the penny, to vanish the dime, the dime breaks through on the face side of the card. The back side of the card is not torn or broken. This trick can be done with the spectator holding the ends of the card. The dime can be made to break thru or shown partically broken thru -- trapped. Or you can simply show that something is trapped inside the card and have the spectator press/ poke it through.
You get a single card (for $1.15). No, this is not a "split" card but it is loaded (on the insides) with a dime. It has all the appearance of a single card (slightly thicker). Once again, this is not a conventionally "split card". I'm not telling how that's done.
Plus, this card can be forced or routined with a prior effect.
Also, you will receive a note stating the date on the dime inside the card. This will allow you to mis-call the date on a borrowed dime and magically "trap" the dime inside the card.
