What's a Ultra-T Shimmed Coin ? It's a coin that's ultra thin. This Kennedy Half dollar has the thickness of a Quarter --- actually a quarter is slightly thicker than an Ultra-T Kennedy half dollar. Plus, this version of the Ultra-T Half dollar has a metal shim insert.
And yes !!!, This coin has two sides (heads & tails). Can be shown and used as a normal half.
This coin is precisioned made by expert machinists. The best description is this: If you took a regular half dollar and removed the middle section, sandwiched in a metal shim and reassembled the coin, you would have an ultra-thin coin with a shimmed insert that can be use with a magnetic pen, ring or wand for pickup vanishes. See #5 below for more uses.
What can an Ultra-T Shimmed Coin be used for ?
1.Palming Practice. This coin is very lite in weight, therefore it helps facilitate the practice of developing a Classic Palm. Because the weight / thickness doesn't interfere with your palming technique, you can develope the proper grip faster. Simple logic: If you can't lift a 100 pounds, start off with 50 pounds and build-up.
2. Coin Productions: If you can palm a regular half dollar, you can easily palm palm 2 to 3 Ultra-T half dollars in place of a regular half. if you can double palm regular half dollars, now you can produce 6 to 8 coins by using Ultra-T half dollars.
3. Expanded Shell Coverage. Ever noticed that your expanded shell doesn't completely cover a regular mate --- it will with an Ultra-T coin. You no longer have to worry about a spectator with acute vision noticing a "lack of coverage".
4. Coin Production / Vanish Card. The Ultra-T Coin was designed to be used with the Mimesis Coin PVC. For more info, Click Here.
5. Magnetic Shimmed Cards for Matrix routines. Instead of vanishing one half dollar, you can vanish 3 to 4 Ulta-T Shimmed Half Dollars without the card bending / bowing during the cover & pickup of the coins.
