If you perform a Cut TOANY CARD CALLED FOR or ANY CARD AT ANY NUMBER, the Mimesis Mnemonic deck will help in the execution of locating any card in the deck.
This deck is "print marked" for position instead of suit or value. Which means that you only have to make the translation once and with a thumb riffle you will be able to rapidly find the called-for-card. No need to edge crimp cards to signify card positions. No guessing or estimating a card's position in the deck --- you will be able to know exactly the position / location of each card.
The print markings are unique -- a combination of simple code and "in plain sight" methology. The markings are "print marks", no scatch marks or juice shading used. Of course this deck can be used in the same fashion as any marked deck -- once the stack has been lost, other "marked" effects can be performed.
Here's my favorite trick to perform with this deck:
Effect: A red-back deck is spread face down on a table top. As the cards are spread, a single blue- back card is seen in the middle of the spread. This blue-back card is pushed out of the spread and kept face down on the table as the performer states that it is a prediction card. Next, the Performer, ask for any thought-of-card (Example: Jack of Hearts). To prove that there is no sleight-of-hand involved, the Performer causally takes a red-back card from the spread and uses it to flip over the prediction card (the face down blue-back card) --- and it's the Jack of Hearts. Some of you may know how is trick is executed. But with the Mimesis Mnemonic Deck, you don't have to do a pass to perform this amazing trick. Instructions for this effect are included with deck.
